The 27-year-old was forced off at half-time during the 4-0 win over Georgia as Luis Enrique's side bounced back from their defeat to Sweden, earlier this week.

After being on the bench for the opening day defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, Laporte has started in City's back-to-back 5-0 wins over Norwich City and 10-man Arsenal.

Jose Gaya also had to withdraw from the resounding win with 15 minutes to play There is no timeframe on his injury but a full diagnosis is expected on Monday.
