But AACTA showed its heart for another popular choice, giving its best lead actor prize to the late Chadwick Boseman for his part in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”The AACTA International Awards are normally presented in person in Los Angeles with a live link back to Australia.
But with coronavirus still placing restrictions on travel this year’s event was all online. It consisted of a highlights package of acceptance speeches, debuting on AACTA’s YouTube channel Saturday, March 6 AEDT / Friday, March 5 PST.
