Asda shoppers call out man bulk buying - then mock what's in his trolley

Asda shoppers called out a man who appeared to be panic-buying amid the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic - but then mocked the contents of his trolley.

Despite assurances that the country has enough supplies, people have been clearing the shelves of things they think could run out - including toilet paper, hand sanitiser and pasta.

But one man had a very different definition of the 'essentials' when he popped into Asda to stock up. Brian and his wife Emma Rogers spotted the unusual purchase when they popped into an Asda just outside of Glasgow.

In the photo he was seen with an entire shopping trolley full of the Scottish soft drink Irn-Bru - interesting choice. According to Brian, other people called the man out as he walked around the store.
