Arsenal are reportedly saving money by not playing Mesut Ozil after a clause was inserted into the midfielder’s contract.Ozil earns a reported £350,000 per week at the Emirates though has not featured for the Gunners since March.The World Cup winner has not even been included in a single Arsenal matchday squad by Mikel Arteta this season.Despite that, it’s believed Arsenal have had to pay Ozil an £8m loyalty bonus last month after they failed to sell the 31-year-old.But The Athletic claim that the Premier League giants are saving themselves money by not playing Ozil.It’s reported that the German international is due bonuses for every appearance he makes due to a clause in the contract he agreed in January 2018.Ozil has already been omitted.
