Kieran Tierney has been ordered to self isolate for 14 days after a coronavirus outbreak in the Scotland squad - prompting Arsenal to "seek further advice".

Southampton midfielder Stuart Armstrong tested positive and Arsenal defender Tierney is one of four members of the Scotland party who has been deemed to have come into close contact.

That has caused a major knock-on effect for the Premier League as Tierney is now set to miss Arsenal’s trip to Manchester City on October 17.

Armstrong, who played in Southampton’s win over West Brom last weekend, provided a negative test after reporting up but has since tested positive which has raised alarm bells at the South Coast club.
