Arsenal's former captain. The striker has been marginalised out the side after committing what the Gunners perceived to be multiple disciplinary breaches.

He has been stripped of the captaincy and any chance of rekindling with Arsenal looks all but lost. Most recently he had to be flown back to London from the Gabon camp in the Africa Cup of Nations after scans revealed he had “heart lesions” from having Covid. Now a Riyadh-based club have offered a way out for the attacker.

According to James Benge of CBS Sports, they have sent a proposal to Arsenal on Tuesday stating they would have on loan with an obligation to buy at the end for some $9.1 million (€8 million). There is yet to be a response but Arsenal are certainly hoping to free the out-of-favour striker off their wage bill.Aubameyang's $340,000-a-week salary is impeding them in their pursuit of a striker in the January transfer market.Reportedly Dusan Vlahovic of Fiorentina is their primary focus - but presently the forward hasn’t felt the need to jump ship just yet.Is there any way back for Aubameyang at Arsenal, or does he have to go this month?
