As of July 19 the legal requirement to wear a face covering will be lifted. The government has said that some people might wish to wear a mask in crowded or enclosed places, but this will now only be guidance. And for passengers travelling on the Metrolink and using Manchester Airport, wearing a face covering will remain compulsory.
