Apple TV+ has won its first Emmy Award, taking home a trophy during Sunday evening's broadcast. The award was handed down to The Morning Show star Billy Crudup for supporting actor in a drama series.
He plays network executive Cory Ellison in the drama. The 10-month-old streamer headed into the Emmys with 18 total nominations, second to Disney+ among first-time streaming nominees.
Eight of its nominations came for The Morning Show, though it also picked up nods for animated series Central Park, drama Defending Jacob and documentary Beastie Boys Story.
Streamers continue to be a dominant force when it comes to Emmy nominations. Netflix led all outlets with 160 nods. Apple TV+ launched Nov.
