AP Reporter Apologizes After Interrupting Babyface for Chappell Roan Grammy Interview: ‘There Was a Lot of Commotion’

Abigail Lee An Associated Press reporter on the Grammys red carpet Sunday apologized for stopping an interview with Babyface to pass his microphone to Chappell Roan in what became a viral social media moment.

A viral clip posted to X showed Krysta Fauria and Leslie Ambriz speaking to the producer and singer-songwriter Babyface before Fauria called out to Roan behind him.

Babyface turned and noticed Roan and told the reporters to pursue an interview with her instead. Ambriz apologized to Babyface before accepting his microphone and giving it to Roan once she approached.
