Manchester United are on closing in on their first January transfer window addition. Ecuadorian wonderkid Moises Caicedo is reportedly undergoing a medical ahead of a £4.5m switch from Independiente del Valle.Before the Red Devils made their move though, they asked former club captain Antonio Valencia for his opinion on the 19-year-old.
The United hero told his former club he felt Caicedo had true potential and had been impressed watching him play for Ecuador's senior side, despite his age, according to the Athletic.
Caicedo has featured in four World Cup qualifying matches this year, registering three assists and a goal across three victories.He is seen as fitting the same mould as Facundo Pellestri, who was also snapped up from South.
