Antonio Conte has reportedly decided to remain at Tottenham as their head coach. The fiery Italian had refused to answer whether he would be fully committing to the club but now The Telegraph report that he has decided to remain after the side secured a Champions League spot.
The former Inter Milan boss held showdown talks with Fabio Paratici, the club’s director of football, in Turin on Friday and now he has committed his future to the Lilywhites.
There has been big speculation over the future of Conte, who was initially unsure whether to remain in the dugout. Conte had signed a one-and-a-half-year contract, with an option to extend it by a further 12 months, when he took over from Nuno Espirito Santo last November.
But when quizzed whether he saw a long-term future with Spurs, he refused to commit. But after Tottenham pipped Arsenal to a top-four spot, Conte made the decision to remain.
