Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have had to plead with the audience during the semi-finals after they cheered “too loud” at the live show.
The presenting duo welcomed viewers to the Eventim Apollo and introduced judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon before the show got well underway.Dance group IMD Legion performed for the celebs and received a huge reception from the audience, but took it a little too far as the judges tried to give their verdict.Alesha tried to give her thoughts to the troupe but commented that she “couldn’t hear herself think” as the crowd bellowed out.Ant and Dec tried to calm the guests and gestured for them to settle down so that the show could continue, but seemingly to no avail.After they were urged to calm the shouting, Dec exclaimed: “We’re going to run out of time and we won’t be able to hear anything.”Viewers at home agreed with the celebs and were extremely irritated with the crowd’s behaviour.An annoyed fan wrote on Twitter: “Whilst I get they’re excited, the crowd [...] are way too loud and rowdy.
