Lee Anderson, the MP for Ashfield in Nottinghamshire, said by doing so, the England team was supporting a “political movement” and risked alienating “traditional supporters”.
Burnham took to the social media site to re-tweet the story with a message above stating: Today, the nation is rejoicing as England achieved a historic victory over Germany, scoring two goals and taking us into the quarter final of Euro 2020.
