These amazing pictures drawn by young Daily Mirror readers will be taken to the deepest place in the world next week. They were chosen by explorer Richard Garriott who will become only the 14th person in history to go to the bottom of the Mariana Trench.
He asked for pictures, questions, posters and poems from youngsters and was astounded by the quality of the entries. They have already been sent to him on a ship in the Pacific Ocean where they will be printed off and taken down with him in a specially built British designed submersible next Tuesday.
Richard, 59, is also taking a copy of the Daily Mirror with him on his incredible journey to the bottom of the earth. British-born Richard, an astronaut, flew to the International Space Station
