Rob Mallard became the third actor to play the role of Daniel Osbourne in Coronation Street when he joined the soap in 2016.
He has since endured heartbreak onscreen as Ken Barlow's son, when he lost his wife Sinead Tinker, played by Katie McGlynn, when she died from cancer and has been raising their child alone.
Daniel is yet to deal properly with his grief, and Rob said his character is putting on a front for his family and friends, but behind closed doors it's a different story for the widower who has been paying a sex worker to pretend to be his wife.
Away from the soap, Rob, 28, who previously appeared on Emmerdale, is believed to be currently single after splitting from his boyfriend last year.
