Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Alice Cooper says there was 'nobody like' Meat Loaf in emotional tribute to star

Meat Loaf, who died on January 21, 2022 at the age of 74.In a statement posted on social media, Alice Cooper, who had worked with Meat Loaf both onstage and in Hollywood films, described the star as a "best friend to everyone" and "truly fun to be around".He said: "Meat Loaf was one of the greatest voices in Rock N Roll, and he was certainly one of my closest friends in the business. "He was really so much fun, truly fun to be around.

He just felt like a best friend to everyone no matter how long it had been since you last saw him."A rock legend himself, Alice Cooper is also known for his highly theatrical shows, which he attributed to him and Meat Loaf collaborating so well together.Alice said: "We worked together many times over the years and he was always a force. "He was a real theatrical character like I was so our shows went really well together," adding: "I remember when you would see his show, he would treat the audience almost like a Pentecostal Preacher and he was so powerful on stage."As well as being the singer of chart topping singles including Bat Out Of Hell and I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That), Meat Loaf also had a well-known acting career and appeared in films including The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Fight Club and 51st State.Alice credited Meat Loaf as the inspiration behind wanting to appear in the film Roadie alongside the singer, with Alice later going on to star in other films such as nineties comedy Wayne's World.Talking about working together on the film, Alice said: "Working with Meat Loaf was one of the main reasons I wanted to do the movie Roadie in the first place - I wanted to watch him show off his acting chops.
