Alan Igbon dead: Coronation Street and Brookside star dies at 68 as niece pays tribute

Coronation Street, as well as making appearances in Brookside, Doctors, and the police drama The Professionals. Igbon is said to have died in early December, with his niece confirming her uncle "passed away peaceful" in a touching statement.

His cause of death has yet to be confirmed. Sharing the statement on Facebook, his niece Lee-Ann Igbon wrote: "Early December 2020 my mums brother Alan Igbon my uncle passed away peaceful."He is well known for being an actor in Boys from the black stuff, Scum, GBH, Coronation st, Brookside and many more.

R.i.e.p xxx."Born in Manchester, Igbon launched his acting career in his teens, first appearing in 1979's remake of the controversial borstal TV film Scum.
