restaurant at an airport has been shut down indefinitely and is under investigation after inadvertently poisoning 17 customers.
The customers who visited Burger & Lobster at Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore all came down with gastroenteritis between May 7 and May 15, according to health officials.
Gastroenteritis is an inflammation of the stomach and intestines which causes vomiting a diarrhoea. It is typically the result of bacterial toxins or a viral infection.Four of the 17 customers were hospitalised by their dodgy meals.
The remaining 13 recovered from the illness at home, with some seeking outpatient treatment or self-medicating.Three of those hospitalised remain there in stable conditions.
