Adele and Harry Styles reportedly turned down the offer to perform at the Platinum Jubilee concert. The chart-topping popstars are believed to have been invited to perform at The Platinum Party at the Palace - a two-and-a-half hour concert held outside Buckingham Palace during the Jubilee weekend. The star-studded event took place on June 4 during the four days of festivities which honoured Her Majesty's 70 years on the throne earlier this month.Tons of famous acts played at the concert, from Ed Sheeran, Sir Rod Stewart and Diana Ross to Queen, who opened the show with singer Adam Lambert. However, it is believed concert bosses had tried to book Adele for the concert, but the Oscar-winning Hello singer had to decline the offer.A source told Daily Mail: "They were told she couldn’t do it.

Scheduling issues, or something like that, were given as an excuse."It caused a lot of surprise, particularly as she was awarded an MBE.

After all, how many chances will there be to perform in front of Buckingham Palace for the Queen?"Adele, 34, made an epic return to the music scene last year with her bestselling album 30, which helped her scoop up three BRIT awards. It came after she was forced to postpone her Las Vegas residency shows in January, much to the dismay of her fans.It is thought Harry Styles was also asked to sing for the royals at the gig, but the former One Direction star also turned it down.Of Harry's alleged rejection, the source simply said: "He was asked.

He could not participate because of timing with his schedule."Harry just played Wembley Stadium over the weekend as part of his Love On Tour shows - after being forced to reschedule dates due to the pandemic. He later admitted the Wembley gig was one of his favourite.
