Drivers who have held onto their old tax discs could be quids-in - as some with certain dates are being sold for £100s online.
Paper tax discs may have been scrapped years ago, but there is still a market for them. They were brought in 100 years ago in 1921, and became commonplace in all car windscreens. But since October 2014 paper tax discs were phased out in favour of an electronic register. Around 1.7billion tax discs were issued during this 100-year period, with most being destroyed.
