In 2019, police were twice called to Crimo's home after he had made violent threats to his family. in April 2019, Highland Park Police were called to Crimo's house after he tried to kill himself.
On the second occasion, Crimo had vowed to 'kill everyone' inside in September 2019, police found a treasure trove of knives in his possession.
These included 16 knives, a dagger and a sword.Amazingly although the weapons were confiscated, Crimo himself was not arrested and he was still allowed to buy guns, including an AR-15-style rifle used in the attack, a second high-powered rifle and three pistols.Previously Twitter sleuths have managed to find and upload a video created by the suspect – and it contains a chilling, and sobering message.
