You only need look at Cesc Fabregas and Ashley Cole to realise that Arsenal are a club who have a serious pedigree when it comes to producing talent.
Even post-Wenger, a pathway from the academy to the first-team continues – this season’s emergence of Bukayo Saka is testament to that.
But still, amongst the all-conquering, trophy-laden prodigies of the past, there lies bright-eyed youngsters who promised so much, yet failed to deliver.
